"Emily is one of a kind," Marie Devereaux said. "My daughter is 19 years old now, but she's been fixing things since she was three. She broke this ceramic plate when she was three and used tape to put it back together. I still have that plate as a keepsake," she smiled, laughing. "Emily has worked on and studied mechanics and various technology since she was 5. She is an extremely capable engineer. She even constructed the wheelchair she's currently using."
