Our Cases
On January 5th, 1681, we purchased the journal of Avery "Lockjaw" Taylor, famed pirated and famed drinker, who had supposedly left it in a bar in Euphoria after a night of partying. No doubt the key to finding Libertalia is inside, but it seems like only pieces of the puzzle.
~ Connor Ardennian, June 681

This poem is a riddle to finding
Libertalia. It's just a matter of
deciphering it.
Established in 1650, the Orion Institute is the leading science organization in the Two Continents. Responsible for some of the biggest breakthroughs the Two Continents have ever seen, the Orion Institute has achieved wondrous things. However, they've also been responsible for experiments and projects that have been dangerous and violations of human rights. Their Experimental and theoretical Division particularly has a number of questionable secret projects that are believed to be unacceptable by the standards of good science. It is unclear how much the rest of the Orion Institute is involved in this practice, but they certainly either are unaware of, or condone the experiments. Our organization will continue to investigate the Orion Institute so long as it is believed they could be a danger to not only people, but the order of things.

Bluestone Manor, home of the BCC, has been in the Ardennian family for generations. Wrapped in magic and mysteries of its own, there is no better place for the BCC to operate out of. Filled with hidden passages and chambers, and rumored spirits and weird happenings, the manor itself feels as though a living being itself. Built in 415 by Fitzgerald J. Ardennian, a powerful Esra, the walls of Bluestone were infused with Esra energy to start. It served as an Esra base in Sphera for a hundred years.
In 533, Reginold Penbreaker took over the manor. He turned the Bluestone Division into a sort of Esra splinter cell, experimenting in dark magic and pushing the limits of human experimentation with energy. Lucian controlled the manor for fifteen years, in which he began to pose a threat to the Spheran government itself. Fears that they were looking at another Marcus Lucian, Sphera and the Esra government acted quickly.
A joint force of Spherans and Esra partook in a war against Penbreaker's splinter branch of Esra. Led by Dierdre Ardennian, on February 14th, 548 in the Valentines day Battle, the joint force defeated Penbreaker and claimed the manor back for the Ardennian Family.
However, fifteen years under the control of Penbreaker and his dark magic changed the face of Bluestone and corrupted its walls. There were several decades filled with numerous stories of haunting and various tragedies that bestowed the Ardennian families that lived there.
In 621, Amber Ardennian took great lengths to cleanse Bluestone of the evil and darkness that had seeped into its core. While she was not able to get rid of all of it, she was able to restore much of the magic that originally protected and defined Bluestone, and the darkness within has been held at bay ever since, only creeping out in moments or small ways. Of the many, many reports of weird sightings or events or even creatures over the last fifty years, only a handful have been anything along the lines of what happened before Amber Ardennian did her work.
Currently is still under intense investigation by the very Bureau that it houses, as the current Ardennian generation seeks to unravel the secrets of their own home.

This map could help with finding Libertalia, but it is not labeled and its image is too vague to tell where it is.
